Self-catering stays for work and play in Stanford, South Africa

Heritage Village House and Cottage

You can't but feel part of village life at Buchu & Num-num. The Stanford Green is just accross the road, small shops and restaurants are literally around the corner, and church and school bells gently mark the day. There is plenty of safe space to explore and play, the river walk is minutes away, and there is a bird hide just down the road.

Stanford is in the coastal countryside of the Overstrand, one of the most fertile and picturesque areas of the Western Cape. It is a heritage village comfortably settled in its history and community, but young at heart and welcoming to all.

Come see for yourself, book House Buchu & Num-num Cottage separately or together for a true village experience.

House Buchu

House Buchu faces the Village Green and is around the corner from restaurants in the main street. The river is a bit further down, maybe a leisurely 10 minute walk. Watch the world go by from the front stoep, find a quiet place to work, cook up a storm in the braai room or enjoy the tranquility of the back garden.

It is a 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a lounge, kitchen, braai room, front stoep, large garden and a pool. It sleeps a maximum of 7 people. House Buchu is fully furnished and equipped for self-catering and features free fast wifi, Android TV with Netflix and full DSTV.

The house is pet friendly, but we require prior arrangement.

Num-num Cottage can be booked with House Buchu for a larger group of friends or family. The two are totally separate and private but right next to each other.

Review by Steve from Switzerland on 7 July 2022: 10 out of 10. A home away from home!

A charming and surprisingly spacious cottage with a TV lounge with a fireplace, a large well equipped eat-in kitchen, and a separate bedroom. The cottage sleeps 3 as there is an extra single bed in the lounge. An outdoor braai area further extends the living space.

It is fully furnished and equipped for self-catering and has free fast wifi, and Android TV with Netflix and full DSTV.

Num-num Cottage is private from House Buchu, but if you book both you will also have access to the larger garden and the pool. The cottage is fully fenced and pet friendly (with prior arrangement).
